  1. Pulmonary hypertension (also known as PH) is a rare and serious lung disease which also affects the heart

  2. PH causes high pressure in the blood vessels that connect the heart and lungs (the pulmonary arteries)

  3. The most common symptoms of PH are breathlessness, tiredness and fatigue, dizziness, and chest pain

  4. Around 8,000 people in the UK have PH. This includes children and babies…

  5. There are different types of PH, which can be connected to different diseases, but some people develop it out of nowhere

  6. There are now highly advanced treatments, but there is still no cure

  7. PH is an invisible illness… You can’t tell someone has it just by looking at them
