Log your Footsteps for PHighters
Cover any distance, in your own way, on PH Day UK or beyond!
Let’s get moving together. Walk or wheel, on foot or in a chair or on a scooter, to celebrate PHighters around the UK. Why not turn it into a fundraiser?
Here are just a few ideas:
- Walk or wheel a mile on Friday 6th November (PH Day UK)
- Stroll a lap of your garden every day for a week
- Cover 30km in November – the equivalent of 1km a day
Want to raise money too? Sponsorship is completely optional. The PHA UK fundraising kit (opens another website) and fundraising ideas (opens another website) are there if they help.

Let us know if you’ll be taking part
PHA UK will use the details you send to record your participation and contact you about Footsteps for PHighters. You do not need to send a medical history. How PHA UK uses your information
Footsteps sign-up opens here soon. In the meantime, email phday@phauk.org and the team will sort it directly.
The PHighter Challenge
Take on an extra special challenge with the PHighter app
Download our brand-new app and travel the Yorkshire Three Peaks trail, one entry at a time. After each walk or wheel, add your distance in miles or kilometres and watch yourself move along the route. Reach a landmark and you’ll unlock a postcard with a local story and a PH fact worth sharing.
Can’t manage a walk every time? Log minutes of gentle movement instead… physio, seated exercise and chair yoga all count, and every 15 minutes carries you 1km along the trail. Need a rest? Take a breather and your place on the trail is kept. No leaderboards, no streaks, no pressure… just your own journey, at your own pace.
You can also connect the app to your myPHA fundraising page, so friends and family can cheer you on as you go.
App Store and Play Store links will appear here once approved

Be part of our video
We’re creating a special short video to share on PH Day UK – and we need your help!
How would you describe PH in just one word? Simply film yourself saying your word – that’s it! – and send it to us via WhatsApp or share it below.
Prefer to keep it low-tech? Write your word on a piece of paper, hold it up, and send us a photo instead.
PH touches people of all ages, and we want our video to reflect that. If you have a diagnosis yourself, or you care for someone with the disease, we’d love you to get involved.
Before sending a clip, photo or word, read how campaign contributions may be used and contact the team about publication permissions, especially if children or other people appear. How PHA UK uses your information
Send your clip or photo via WhatsApp on 07375 354687 (opens WhatsApp) or share it below.
This short film will be an update of our 2020 video, which has been vital in helping the public understand the challenges of PH. Watch it below, and be inspired…

Write to your MP
Could you ask your local MP to show their support for PH Day UK?
Sending them a letter or email that asks them to post on social media is a simple and effective way to reach people. It’s an easy way for MPs to show public support for their constituents, and as most have a high number of followers, it’s win-win!
The details you type stay in this browser until you copy the letter or open it in your email app. PHA UK does not receive your letter through this editor. The template mentions a PH diagnosis; only send information you are comfortable sharing with your MP. How PHA UK uses your information
Tap the pink blanks and type, then use the buttons below to copy the letter or send it by email. Prefer Word? Download the template and edit it there.
Dear ,
My name is and I am a constituent living on in .
I live with a rare medical condition called pulmonary hypertension (PH for short), a life-limiting disease that causes high blood pressure in the blood vessels connecting the heart and lungs. There is no cure, and some people require heart and / or lung transplants.
I am writing to ask if you will consider supporting an annual awareness initiative by the national charity Pulmonary Hypertension Association UK (PHA UK) by sharing a post on your social media channels.
PH Day UK takes place on Friday 6th November 2026 and I’d really appreciate you posting on that date to show your support.
Some suggested wording is below:
I’m supporting #PHDayUK, taking place today to raise awareness of the rare lung and heart disease pulmonary hypertension (PH). On behalf of my constituents who may live with this challenging condition, I ask you to take just 2 minutes to find out more at phauk.org/FastFacts. Remember – not all disabilities are visible!
